Where do I obtain information about construction restrictions in The Summit?

·         Article 8 of The Summit Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions, including associated amendments, is the official document which details all restrictions.

·         An unofficial Summary of Restrictions – Article 8, prepared by the Restrictions Advisory Committee, attempts to present the most salient restrictions in a more easily understood format.

·         Common Construction Issues, a list of the most troublesome things involved in construction

 

How do I obtain help or advice concerning the restrictions in The Summit?

Is my contractor aware of the restrictions in The Summit?

·         Most contractors work in several different communities. Even though there may be close similarities, each community may have some unique restrictions.

·         It is your responsibility as owner to be sure that your contractor knows about the restrictions in The Summit and adheres to them.

·         A copy of the Summary of Restrictions – Article 8 will be sent to your contractor, if requested.   (If you prefer, you may deliver the summary to your contractor yourself.)

 

What are my next steps in working with the Restrictions Advisory Committee?

·         Complete the Owner’s Checklist of Understanding in the box below and mail it to the address at the top of this page.

·         Contact a member of the committee anytime you have a question or would like some advice.
